COBIT 4.1, Val IT and Risk IT users… Show more who are already engaged in governance of enterprise IT (GEIT) implementation activities can transition to COBIT 5 and benefit from the latest and improved guidance that it provides during the next iterations of their enterprise’s improvement life cycle. COBIT 5 builds on previous versions of COBIT (and Val IT and Risk IT) and so enterprises can also build on what they have developed using earlier versions. Â

Information Security & Risk Management Professional with 28 years’ experience in Information Technology and 13 years in the Information Systems Audit and Security field, Denis is a former Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) Instructor, UNIX Instructor and CISSP Trainer/Facilitator.
Denis is currently the IT Audit Manager at Ameristar Casinos Inc. in Las Vegas; his previous employments include Kaiser Permanente, Wells Fargo Bank (Greater Bay Bank), Delta Dental, Aerojet/GenCorp, and Mervyns LLC, where he was responsible for Regulatory audits and Enterprise Security Risk Assessments with focus on GLBA, HIPAA, PCI DSS, SOX, and Gaming using the CobIT Framework and Security Standards for Best Practices .
Denis is a Retired Air Force Officer where he was responsible for analysis, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Region Operation Control Centers Surveillance computer network at Tyndall Air Force Base, Florida. Denis holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science equivalence.
